The Queen Has Been Drinking

That's what I titled this piece. I started with a perfectly round, beautifully figured, nicely turned dogwood hollow form. It ended up twisting, cracking, moving, changing, turning, and generally making a mess of itself. So I figured if I repaired the cracks, finished it, and put an eccentric finial on it that I could call it art and not be so embarrased to show it to my buddies.

Well, here it is, "The Queen Has Been Drinking"

I know the picture quality is poor but it's late and I can't find any more batteries for the camera. I'm lucky to have pulled this one off.
