Just thought I would stop in to say Hi and introduce myself.
I joined several months ago, just lurking until now, trying to get a feel for the group. Seems like a fairly nice bunch of people here.
I've done some woodworking off and on for the last 25 years or so, all for my personal use- not for sale. (Maybe someday) I've made a wide variety of projects- beds for all three of my kids, bookshelves, desks, tables, etc. Most of my projects have been made with red oak, although lately I've been using mostly cherry. I'm working on a pair of cherry drop leaf end tables now.
I'll probably be spending a lot of time here for the next few weeks, reading posts and hopefully getting and giving some tips and ideas. I'm going to have back surgery in Mar and will be laid up for about a month so I'll have lots of free time. (Hopefully, after 5+ years of constant pain I'l be able to function again somewhat and do more woodworking.)
