The question was asked on another thread what did you get for your valentine.....so I was wondering what your "Sweetie" got for you?

As for myself, Judy got me "Working with Wood" and "Furniture and Cabinet Construction" by Andy Rae (Taunton) and she also renewed my subscription to Fine Woodworking.

How about you?

She let me go to the Piston's game last night, 3rd row on the floor. I had to take my daughter of course, never know what I might get into unsupervised.

Chocolates (had to share those with the kids), and heart-shaped pancakes for supper with a hot strawberry sauce. Yum.

And since I'm going out of town this afternoon, for the weekend, she's been taking on the job of prepping the kid's bedroom for painting. Who knows, it might even be painted by the time I return on Saturday night.

(We're going to rip out the carpet and replace with laminate, so we figure this is one great time to let the kids "help" paint without any worry about the mess. I'm wondering how many paint spots will be on that old carpet when I return.)

I sure ain't complaining!

LOL! Art, yours sounds much like mine. A box of chocolates (bigger than the one I gave to the LOML!!!), which of course, has mainly been emptied out now by the LOML and youngest daughter! A great steak dinner. Then, some special Valentine's Day cake w/ice cream and some Bailey's to wash it down with! :) Steve, you seem to have scored BIG time!!!:D

A pickup full of 12" diameter holly she sweet talked the arborist at Busch Gardens into saving for her. Loaded it herself. Forty years together and she's still full of surprises.

Sorry, Glenn. No Philly blood in me. My dad used to make popovers and scrapple all the time when I was a kid. Was reminiscing recently and the topic came up. My wife said she try it - even after I explained what it was! Neither she nor my daughter liked it so I got the whole load to myself. Talk about pig heaven!
