Just like to say Welcome George!! Hope you get your pics figured out. I've only done one box so my experience is very limited. The only lesson I've learned so far is use wood that won't move after you've turned the interface between the box and the lid.

The BoxMaster, Mike Stafford is the real genius. Where's Mike by the way? I miss him.:(

George - Welcome. Glad you found us.

What little I know about boxes can be summed up this way. Most any wood will work - as long as it is dry. Tight straight-grained clear stock works best.

Welcome George...
WOW only a year old? That can explain why you're having trouble posting pictures.;) But it doesn't explain how you can reach the lathe...

Sorry...it's already a bad day here at the office.

Welcome George. The only thing I can tell you about boxes is make sure the wood is dry. Otherwise it will move around and you will have problems. I have only turned one box as I am a new turner also.
