I saw a thread by Alan Berezin about face frames and since I am at that stage with my son's kitchen cabinets http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=30965
I thought I'd post a few pics of one of the ones I did for these cabinets.

Thanks, Steve. I often forget that one technique is to put a groove in the faceframe to mate with a top (and/or bottom) held proud of the rest of the construction. Good glue joint from that, too, as well as alignment.

Nice work. Ill definately have to try the grooved face frame deal. Seems like a nice way to get everything aligned.

Alan, I use a 1/2 " router bit to make the groove, and like Jim mentioned make the side protrude 1/4" to accept this groove (dado) that makes it easy to glue up.
