Recently I purchased the $99 Sommerfeld phenolic router table. I needed a fence for it and was really impressed by the pivoting fence shown in the DVD that came with the table. So I tried to make a shop made version of it:

I was able to use the dowel hole already pre-drilled in the table but I had to drill a hole for a 1/4-20 thread insert to accept the thumb wheel.

I drilled three pivot pin holes to try to keep the fence parallel ti the edge of the table for all bit sizes.

I added a cleat to the back in case I want to clamp it to the TS fence.

I stole the fence idea from Scott Spencer - Craftsman 22124 miter fences.

That looks great Mike. Where did you get the aluminum adjustable fence faceplate? Allen

The aluminum extrusion came with my table saw - it's really a the TS's miter fence. I purchased a second one to complete the split fence.

Wow Mike! Your version is much slicker than the "original". I may have to "benchmark" some ideas from yours when I make some revisions. Excellent job!
