Is the handwheel/handbreak removeable? If yes, how?

I purchased mine already assembled.

Yes George, Left hand thread. Put the knock out bar through the holes in the hand wheel and give it a slight tap with a mallet. DO NOT use the indexing pin to lock the spindle. This should do it for ya.
