I'm using a Universal Versalaser VL300. When printing photo's to a wooden plaque the size of 10x18" will it make a difference printing at 500 dpi? suggested is 250. If I do print at 500dpi should I also set the photograv settings to 500dpi or leave it at 250?

On wood, you probably won't see a lot of difference. You don't want to resample the image up, for example, if you are doing an 8 X 10 and have 2000 X 2500 dpi image, you don't want to take it to 4000 X 5000 dpi. The image size will multiply, not double. But, whatever you send into Photo-Grav needs to be what comes out, 200 dpi in, 200 out, 300 in, 300 out.. etc... PhotoGrave states that in there manual and with good reason. Don't resample of stretch the image once you get it out of Phot-Grav. I always try to start with best image (most dpi) I can. If you can start with a tif file, which will be larger than jpg, adjust size and image there before going to bmp. My humble opinion. Hale
