Ah, an OPPORTUNITY!! An opportunity to do a "full-bottom inlay", remount and finish turning...something you can do quite nicely with the vacuum setup! ;)

George,

You could buy an estate right next to Bill Gates by selling those bowls to kids whose parents feed them food that they don't like!! ;) :D How did you come up with the idea?

Get a patent - NOW!! - before I do! :)

George it's those trout sunglasses. You need to use your good glasses for those type of things:)

Put a magnifying glass in the large end and you have a jewelers loop:D

cut the bottom off about 3/4" up glue on a contrasting lumber with a nice piece of white acrylic between the two chuck it up and finish the piece. :D

Wow George, you got that bottom so thin I can see through it!!

I did that to a vase once and it sits in view from my lathe as a reminder.:o
Now, with all these sugestions, I may go back to it and put an ebony bottom on it.

Hey Arena,
Where ya been lately? Since you've been gone, I find myself slipping back into my old conservative ways!! :( :)

Dale T.
Dale,
I’m beginning to wonder if your old conservative ways!!, may not be one of the reasons I’m intrigued by you. You present such a conundrum; like a delicate flower, beautiful, sensitive, politically correct, mentally "challenged" … and a Republican too!
Too bad the Creek doesn’t have a Political Forum, where Tyler “Long Thong” Howell, John “Max-Wax(ed)” Miliunas, Dale “Pesh-Mesh” Thompson and Frank “Arena Gladeatur” Chaffee could tag team duke it out. Just as well we have PM’s, I guess.
Good to see you again too,
Frank
Yes, where is the bottom of the bowl?

It's funny how you stop looking when you find what you're searching for. I think you found the bottom of that bowl.

Sorry it happened that way. All I can say is from experience, put it behind you and turn the next piece.

Hey Arena,
Keep looking!! When you've found ME - you've found IT!! :( :)
