how to sharpen....

What's the proper way to sharpen a drive spur? And are there better designs than just the normal point with 4 spurs? Does anyone know of a Harold Jones who lives in Alabama and turns? I was at an Art Gallery the other day and they had an exhibition of his work and I was amazed at what he can do with a piece of wood!

Sharpen the spur the same way you would a router bit or forstner bit...hone only on the inside flats so you don't change the profile/length of the "blades". However, it's not all that critical in this application, honestly...
