Guys I have a question. Have any of you ever installed base board around a bull nose bead corner?
The standard 90 degree.... 45/45 mitre leaves a big hole hole at the joint.
How do you make a 3 piece joint to soften the transition. I'm kinda brain locked on this one.:o

And some sandpaper and caulk... ;)

The manufacturers who make the bullnose now also make parts which transition the corner smoothly from bullnose to square. Using this, the lower 6-10" of the corner is square -- to nicely handle baseboard --- and the rest is bullnose. It works very nicely.
For instance -- http://www.all-wall.com/acatalog/Plastic_Corner_Caps_&_Conversions.php, but there are others too.

My house has them as well and I located a local outfit that had pieces that were round and wrapped right around the corner. They were about a $1 each. If you looked at them they were U shaped and the molding would butt up to either side. Other wise it's time to pull out the lathe and get practicing ;)

I made up 10 pieces with the inside flat at a tad over 3/4". They seem to work pretty nicely. A little caulk and a little paint should make my mitres what they aint;) :D :D
Appreciate the feedback guys!!!!!!
