What is the widest blade you can put onto a G0555. Also what brand of blade would you recommend? Thanks Josh

Josh I have the G0555 and I use up to a 1/2" 95% of the time. When I split a log for bowls or resaw for lumber I use a 3/4" 2 tpi blade but it is just a little big and hard to get it tensioned but I had it ordered so I will use it on occasion. If I had it to do over I would not have ordered the 3/4" blade. I use a 1/2" woodslicer from Highland Hardware. It gives a real smooth cut. I resawed some 8" oak into veneer and it took very little sanding. I also use a 1/2" 3 tpi and a 1/4" 6 tpi timberwolf blades from Suffolk Machinery. Call them and tell them what you will be doing. They will recommend a blade or two for you. They did for me and I am happy with them. Other than not needing the 3/4" those other blades are all I have ever needed. Hope this helps.

You usually "can" put a 3/4" wide blade on a 14" saw, but general advise is usually to stick to 1/2" wide...easier to tension properly.
