I'm building the knock-down saw horses from the design in Nick Engler's Popular Woodworking article (http://www.popularwoodworking.com/features/fea.asp?id=1104) that Frank Pellow was kind enough to advertise and even distribute to those who requested (here (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=8083&highlight=sawhorse) is that thread). Here is the version Frank gave out--it's a little clearer than the one in the article, but the design is identical:

Either there is an error in one of the angles, or I'm misinterpreting the drawing. Maybe someone who knows drafting can clarify. That angle in the lower left diagram--the one that says 25 deg--shouldn't that be 65? Seems to me that 25 is from the vertical, but the way he's drawn it (I think) it looks like 25 is the angle from horizontal. But that's not possible, given the rest of the numbers, and what would be a reasonable design. Or is he actually saying that it is 25 from vertical, and I'm misreading his notation?

Good eye, there. I imagine it would be 25° off vertical. I suppose you could read it as setting the miter saw at 25° since 90° is usually referred to as 0°

I always find mistakes in plans. When I build from plans I make a point of going over them very carefully to check for errors.
