What width Lennox blade for 18" Jet BS

Hi All,

What size of carbide tipped Lennox blade are you running on the Jet 18 inch band saw? Right after my saw came out the 1/2 inch one was recommended because it was not known if the saw was built well enough to properly tension a wider blade.

If you have this saw what size are you running?

I would saw a 1/2" Trimaster or Bimetal

I've got an 18" Jet. I've been using the 1/2" trimaster for a year now. I couldn't be happier with it. I would have been thru over a dozen of the Timberwolf blades by now and there is still some life in the Lennox.

I'll call and order the 1/2 inch. There is a shop near me that makes them.
