It's made from a piece of Norflok Pine a turner on my street gave me, the third thing I have turned, after my bowl and candlestick. I used 4 or 5 coats of poly for finish, ans sanded the wood with many many grits. Dimensions are 5 1/4" high, 3.5" diameter

Stephen,
That is some nice turning. I have always liked pine for any type of WW and I think you have done pine justice on the lathe with that cup.
Great job and thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi Stephen,
Very nice cup for your first one.
Just thought I would bring it up front and right side up, so everyone could appreciate your nice work.
Thanks for showing,
Bill.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>:)

You're doing quite nicely! I'm jealous of those of you who can make nice things like this on your first attempts....Mine looked like firewood! In fact...they ended up as firewood!!!:o
