Due to health reasons, I can no longer use my shop, I'll be selling everything starting with my Lathe tools and the Powermatic 3520B:
Woodcutter coring tool W/laser. $350
Sorby texturing tools - the complete set W/ micro set. $250
Sorby captive ring tool set (3 pc.) $60
Elbow hollowing tool W/ 4 boring bars with cutters. $400
Vacuum chuck W/vacuum pump with gauges.$16Harris chuck system W/reversing adapter. $160
Woodriver turning tol set - large 8 pc. $150
Woodriver micro set, 5 pc. $45
Jameson "Big Bar" with HSS cutter and the tiny carbide cutter, comes with his adjustable tool rest. $225.
As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures - I will.
This is only the tip of the iceberg - If you want it, I probably have it. Many
Tompson tools along with many high end turning tools, sharpening system, 5 chucks, way to much to list. I'm shooting for 65-70% of new - all tools are in like new condition.
If someone is looking for a very complete turning set-up, I can make a decent deal for the lathe and all tooling

I sent you a PM asking if you had any chucks. If so, what did you have and what the price?
And your only response was - "everything is priced at 65-70% of retail"

Which really doesn't tell me anything about what chucks you have.

How much for the vacuum pump and all the fittings and everything that goes with it? Do you have the fittings to use with the 3520?

David Schmittou
05-11-2024, 11:00 PM
Yea, everything - vac. chuck, draw bar, pump, gauge and everything to put it on and use it. I like having the Gauge so I can see if it starts leaking - never been a problem but like to be sure

I have no idea of what I'm doing wrong - I'm answering all the private messages - some three times and they are not showing up. I see I included a picture of my Longworth chuck - I'll take $100 for it. I really need to start selling this stuff, like I said this is only about 30% of the lathe tools that I have. I guess it's nothing to be ashamed of but I can no longer afford to pay my co-pay for my treatments and I have to have them just to be able to walk comfortably .

Yes everything to mount on the 3520, the chuck, draw bar, vacuum pump, guage (to watch to make sure it's not losing vacuum) and all fittings a nd tubing - $160

Hi David, any chance you have any carbide insert tools? I may be interested in a radiused square cutter if you have one.

Also, to save your sent PM's you have to check this little box:

Could you send a pic of the radiused square carbide tool? I'm not very familiar with AZ Carbide. Also, what size and how much are the Nova cole jaws (if you're willing to sell them without a chuck)?

When you go to write a PM, before you send it, scroll to the bottom of the page and make sure the boxes are checked like this:

If the box for "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder." isn't checked you won't see a copy of the sent message.

The cole jaws will come with the nova bowl buffers (much safer and a $32 add on new) will talk a 9.2 " bowl internal and 11" external - I would take $55 for those, I also have a 16" Langsworth chuck - the older style that goes in dovetail chuck jaws I'll take 125 for that. Let me know if you need any other information. some reason I can't post a picture on a reply, I'll post it in a new thread - should be right under here - thanks

Arizona Carbide radiused scraper.

Bert McMahan

Thanks David. What's the diameter on the Cole jaws and what's the length on that scraper? If you have a link to either of them that would work too. I have a Comet lathe so I want to see if that set would fit since it's not very big. And some of the full size tools can be a little unwieldy with the smaller stuff I normally turn.

David Schmittou
05-19-2024, 1:22 PM
The scraper is 21" overall, the nova jaws are 9 1/2" closed - 10 1/2" open on a supernova chuck, I would say that it will hold a bowl as small as 2" to as large as 10", I think that I mentioned it but the scraper comes with 4 new inserts and the one on it is on its first side so 19 new edges I always bought a lifetime supply when I ordered something new
