Curly Maple lidded hollow form

This was fun! I finally was able to get the Blackwood finial a little slimmer, just under 1/8". Also added a small base of Blackwood. Size is 6 3/4" to the top of the finial by 5" wide. Buffed gel poly finish.

That sure is nice Travis, but I'm disturbed by all the curliqued defects in the maple as it diverts my eye from the base. What saves the piece is everything else!:D
