Hello all,

I will be getting a Milwauke 2-1/4HP variable speed router delivered this week. I wish to install it in the mobile cabinet I built for my table saw. This would allow me to use the 52" Vega fence I have on that cabinet. I plan to clamp a shop built router fence to the back side of the Vega.

The Milwaukee has the capability of adjusting the height from above the table with a T-handle wrench. I am looking for suggestions on how to install this router in the table. The table is 1.5" thick with a formica laminate on the top. I was on the Milwaukee web site, and there isn't much there to tell me how this is done. Can I just use a piece of 1/4" lexan (or similair) to make the insert?

Thanks for your help.

1. Buy a plate pre-drilled for your router made of aluminum or phenolic with the inserts for different bit sizes. THis is where I got mine from.

2. Cut a hole big enough for your router motor to fit through, but smaller then your plate.
3. Route a caviety in your router table that fits your plate.
4. Adjust your plate to be level with your table top.
Lexan will sag with the motor weight I am told
