Mike Leonard visited me yesterday and we engraved another plaque for one of his friends at Fort Eustis in Newport News. Mike is a great guy and will always be welcome in my shop. Mike made the plaque from hickory and it was my first opportunity to engrave hickory wood. The results were great in fact hickory engraved just about as well as cherry or alder.
