Hi gang -- hoping to track down a 3HP 1PH motor for my Powermatic 66. The direct replacement would be #6472028 (Baldor) but if you have something else that will work, I'm all ears.

Cheers!

Mark,
Chris has a saw and needs a motor. He doesn’t need a new saw.

Chris,
Scan your local CL and FB Marketplace. The PM style motors are a lot easier to find than something like a Unisaw motor.

I have been thinking of converting my 5hp 3 ph. 66 to a single phase so I don't have to switch on the converter for a quick cut. If I find a deal I will let you know.

If you find one but it doesn't have the correct mounting base, i.e. the holes don't line up, you can buy adapters for that purpose. Or make your own out of BB plywood. I've done both with good results. You might also look at OWWM you'll find motors there.

I see a couple on the OWWM for sale. Wants 400 each + shipping. Ouch.

If you have a good motor shop they can do this for you. Don't know about cost.
I had a 2HP single phase rewound to a 3HP 3 phase, at the suggestion of my motor shop(after the second time I burnt it out).
