An 82 year old neighbor asked me to fix her mothers meat tenderizer that the neighbor is still using. Said the handle keeps coming loose.

The head is hollow so no wonder the handle comes loose with about only 1/8" of surface for the wedged handle to grab onto.

Looking for a design for a new handle. Looks to me like it needs a bottom stop and a protruding top portion that a through wedge can be driven into the protruding top. What are your thoughts?

Looks like an exact copy would work. Wood wedge long ways, steel wedge crossing like a hammer.

Is there such a thing as injecting one of the PL construction adhesives to fill the space?. One customer past had a thing where they were told to use PL adhesive on metal studs. I havent used the stuff but it must be pretty strong.
