Is there a Beall imperial collet chuck size that will work for an 8mm rod? I believe they're an E32 collet.

5/16" is pretty darn close, 7.93 mm

8 mm is .31496" so 5/16 should work fine.

If it is, in fact, an ER-32 collet, you should be able to source a wide range of specifically sized collets that fit in the nut as the ER-32 is commonly used on larger CNC machines that do not have automatic tool changers. I know that's true for the ER-25 on my own CNC machine. Even Amazon shows availability of ER-32 collets in metric sizes.

ER-32 is a standard size. Any good metal working supplier can provide an emergency collet you bore to size. Or buy metric or inch size round, hex or square collets to fit.
Er-32 max round bore is 0.75" or 20mm. Minimum round bore is around 0.09" or 3mm
