True story never build a table for you wife.....................
the first picture below is a table I promised my wife 20 years ago. Just built it recently, and she loves it!!!
as a reward my wife gave me something I was never expecting.........It involved a companion shown in the naked second picture here.

About my wife or the table? :confused:
Just kidding....Both are red oak the larger is 16 in wide x 42 long x 32 tall the smaller is 11 x 17 x 32 tall The drawer fronts are false.
Finish is minwax stain (mixed color) added to Minwax wipe on poly + tung oil + mineral spirits.
It is a fast wipe on finish that dried in about 2 hours and is pretty much fool proof.
legs were a 3 piece glue up measuring 2.5 x 2.5 x 34 and cut on a router table against a pattern .
