Wixey saved my bacon today. I am lazy about calibrating the wixey digital planer attachment. But it knows where it is regardless. So today I shorted my count of 15 walnut blanks. They all need to be the same thickness to bring to the cnc router. Bringing 2 rough sawn blanks close and running everything back through the planer was one solution.
I turned on the Wixey and the readout was 1.105" which was what the last pass was. I planed those orphaned boards to 1.105 and went upstairs to eat nachos. That little gismo was a big help today.
