I got this planer for free from a woodworker in town. It is currently non functional because the gears are worn out and cause a slip. The person was planning to fix it and has taken the gear assembly apart. Eventually lost interest and gave it away.
I can't find any manual for exploded view of the gear assembly for this machine. I have looked up online but nada. Does anyone have a manual for this or have the machine and could be send me some pictures of the gear set up. I'd really appreciate it. (Attached picture of model info etc). 507853

Probably not exact but there are a bunch of websites like this with parts and diagrams. I rebuilt a powermatic planer finding the parts that way.

I'd bet that planer is a close cousin to my G0453Z. Look at page 50.

You have a Makita 2040 badged as a Jet JWP15 from the 1980's. Does it look like the pic attached? If so search out info for the Makita 2040 which were pretty popular, and I see come up in the used market frequently.

The makita is definitely out there and you can get parts. I used to have a 2030N and replaced the bearings.

Glad Russell recognized the planer. My info was way off.
