Anyone have ideas on what these are? I'm just curious. They have a split end and a sliding ferrule to lock in a small bit of metal. Makes me think of stone sculpture scrapers, but really no idea.

I wonder if they are not marking tools, designed to hold a piece of soapstone for metal fab layout?

I've never seen anything like them. But if I had to guess, I would lean toward wax modeling tools for jewelry or patterns for small lost wax castings.

Maybe for working in clay sculpting?

They are worn out artist brushes. Probably used in a film about a nutty genius, or just old ‘touch-up’ procedures for 1960s used car lot
sanitation of used cars formerly owned by travelers to Woodstock.

Seems like it must be something in the art realm, since their so many sizes.

Maybe for detailing ceramics on a turntable, or other decorative finish?

How long are the handles- like artist brushes, or shorter?
