Is this a good pump for vacuum chucking?

NOTE FROM MOD: URL edited to conform w/TOS. I believe it was a Gast pump, though the link was not working regardless. Maybe Kurt can give us a description of what he's actually looking at. (Kurt requested I edit this for him. <John>)

If you were going to a surplus center looking for a 1/4 hp gaust for about $90 that is 220v then that's where you might find it.

Try this for the Surplus Center, this punp works, it is a dedicated 220 volt motor, probably from an industrial job. These are new, I bought one and it works great..

Thanks guys! I’m heading out first thing tomorrow morning to pick my new Mustard Monster from the shipping depot! The vacuum system will be the first order of business after the honeymoon is over! I am not however looking forward to carrying her across the threshold! Thanks for all your help and I look forward to hanging out and learning this great art from all the good people here! Congratulations on the baby poop yellow thing, think I've seen one around before. Post some pictures when you get set up, otherwise it's not official. And welcome to the creek.
