I cut some stair stringers out of LVL, and every step is greater than 90 degrees... can't find my angle device, but let's say 91 degrees, such that the tread dips up to 1/16" and the riser rolls back maybe 1/32".
I was obsessive with precision from layout through cleaning up inside corners with the pull saw. For every initial cut with the circular saw, I clamped a straight board for a fence and watched the cut on the line.
After cutting the treads, I then cut the risers, and a couple inches into the riser cut, I would notice the kerf wider than the blade... maybe 1/32" or so. I thought... LVL can't move.
Ever seen LVL move from internal stresses, or have an idea what may have happened?
