Anyone use an edgebanding iron to iron out dents?

They seem a more usable size to me than a full sized clothes iron, but I'd like to get opinions and feedback on that.

Also, some of them have digital controls - I'd prefer something simpler that might be less prone to failing.

Here are two screenshots of what I'm talking about -

Brand recommendations would be great too.

Use it with a wet cloth. If it will make the cloth steam it will be fine

Yes I always use an iron with a wet cloth. My question is whether anyone uses one of these small edgebanding irons for removing dents, and is there a brand they prefer.

Mark the one on the left is sold with many different names on it. I bought it with the name O'Skoole
-Precise thermostatic control to provide 100°C - 200°C(±10°C) / 212°F - 392°F(±18°F), LCD screen shows accurate current temperature.

I dont know about dents but works well enough for iron on edge banding

Irons speed up the process, but you can raise dents equally well with room temperature water. If you're in a hurry, dry the wood with a heat gun or blow dryer.

Thanks George, those temperatures look like they'll work for steaming out dents.

Unless you need it for edge banding work, an old household iron works just fine. If you don't have one you can get one at Goodwill for a few $'s.
