Hey everyone, I am looking to see if anyone can tell me of a place to get a 1617 evs router motor only!! Do you always have to buy them with a base to get a good price??

Check in often at Big Leroy's Tool Shack in Fort Meyers, FL, he has a store on the online auction site with a capital e.
He has sold Bosch/DeWalt/PC router motors w/o the base for good prices.

I understand your question and I don't know what a "good" price for a motor only would be but my local Costco has the 1617 two base (plus extras) kit for $165. I just thought I'd mention it.

I did my first transaction with Big Leroy's Tool Shack a week or so ago, and would recommend them. The folks at Incra customer service recommended them, and I was able to find a URL and phone number with a bit of web searching. It's a mom and pop operation, they were very helpful, and they had better prices on Incra stuff than Woodpeckers.

As an aside, last week I got some interesting Google hits with "Big Leroy" +tool as the search term. :eek: This week, looks like all the porn links have disappeared. :rolleyes:
