I was a kid when Glen Campbell started hitting it big. This was one of the first songs I heard where the melody and the words caught my attention as something more serious than the top-40 pop stuff we were all listening to at the time. That booming bass solo was sure different.

Me of the last renditions he did was a collaboration with The Stone Temple Pilots. Look it up on YouTube. It’s worth a watch/listen.

Just watched it Rob. Very cool. I think that is a Fender Rhodes in the video. Had one when I was younger and traded for a car I never got running. Wished I had kept the piano...

had one in my studio. We rented them at the music store, as a kid I used to load them in cars when Jazz musicians sent their wives in. Body tortured from an early age.
