I need a limiter for this drop-down drawer front I'm making.

505517 It's just 4" tall. I tried Sugatsune and the usual suspects but I cannot find anything that will work on this small a piece.

I'm thinking very lightweight aircraft cable with screw eyes swedged on.
Opinions?

thanks, Mark

Do you have room under for a pull out or pivoting support?

An issue with chain or aircraft cable is that when you close the front, the cable can get caught between the drawer front and the drawer side which is being use as the in-stop for the front.

Great suggestion. I've used these and they work swell. Depending on the application, I might recommend one on each side for even support.

I used what John K shows but you do not have enough height for that model.

505535

A friction style (https://www.acehardware.com/departments/hardware/cabinet-and-furniture-hardware/luggage-and-craft-hardware/5300421?store=10193&gclid=CjwKCAjww7KmBhAyEiwA5-PUSuyVfzYN-YQuzIeKE2iHy-TOHiroeI7ZyUpTwfnQD_qq_ricVIp8phoCShsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) may work.

Glenn you are correct on both counts. The Sugatsune stay is too big, but the friction one will work. I found a version online that is in keeping with the aesthetics of the piece.
It's chrome plated, all the other hardware is nickle plated, and the friction is adjustable.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Interesting hinges. I had never heard of these before. Thanks.

Have you thought about a tip out tray hinge used for sink cabinets?

A little late now that you've built it but hinging it so it folds all the way under and is held by magnets would look better.
