wrestling mat for shop floor

I see an auction for a high school wrestling mats near me. 1.45" thick. been years since I touched one. are they too soft for a shop floor or would they be okay. Much to big and heavy to ship.

I agree with Mel. As a former wrestling coach and official I can tell you they're tiring to walk around on for long, great for rolling around on.

I had that green outdoor carpet in my shop once.
It was miserable trying to clean up and even more miserable to try to wheel things around on.

The stuff they use in CVS drugstores is nice to walk on and cleans up easily. I used to install their casework and did all my cutting on it and then picked up the big pieces and vacummed up the saw dust.
