Well, my right finger got tired of clicking on the refreash button today in anticipation of the impending blast (congrats Ken:D ), so I wrnt into the shop and turned what looks to be sort of a bowl.

Instead of having a round form, I decided to go with a more straight form.

It's cherry, 5-3/8"wide, 1-3/8" tall and a little less than 1/8" thick. I thought this one might look better with a foot, so I left a very small one on. The finish is Murphys Walnut oil.

I need all the help I can get so please tell me how I can improve. Thanks for looking.

George

Don't know that I'd change anything, George. It looks nice as-is. I like the offset grain pattern, and the simple bowl lines show that off well. Oh...and what Lee said. ;)

Only "problem" I have with it is that, it's too dang far away for me to get my mitts on it!!!:D That's a keeper, George! Great job on getting the walls so thin. IMHO, "thin walls" aren't always mandatory but, on that piece, it's a perfect match. Good job!:)

Trout Soup!?!? That's my favorite! And a great bowl that appears to be made specifically for trout soup!!!

George I have viewed this bowl with a critical eye, and offer this suggestion. Make more of them.

Now...Do you make Trout Soup with a Bass-O-Matic? MMMM Bass!!!..I mean MMMM Trout!:)

Nice Bowl George. Light and delicate and a very nice form. The only thing I'd change would be the foot by indenting the center so there's a rim. This helps with moisture and won't let your signature get rubbed off!:)
