In a nick of time

We were invited to a dinner party last weekend. I wanted to bring something besides the usual bottle of wine, so I looked through Vectric's Project of the Month folder to see if there might be something appropriate and I could make in a couple of hours because, yes, I didn't have the inspiration until noon on the day of the party. I found a project I thought would fit the hosts' style and that would only take an hour or two. And three hours later it was finished.

There was no time for a real finish so I just slathered on some mineral oil. Our hosts were very appreciative of the gift, and I was very appreciative of a really fine meal with friends.

I love how the CNC makes it easy to whip up a gift at a moment's notice.

That's a really nice gift for sure! I like the design, too...some of the time, I'm not a fan of the projects that Vectric publishes, but some are very much winners to "have in the bag" for quick needs like you found you had.
