Recently ran across The Longbow, the Schooner and the Violin, Wood and Human Achievement by Marq De Villiers.Informative and enjoyed it thoroughly. I like these types of formats and put it in a class with Salt, Cod, The Compass and The Sextant. What are you reading?

I looked through the moldy contents of a neat old 1 board dovetail blanket chest and read some old journals, magazines, and flyers. The Longbow, the Schooner and the Violin, Wood and Human Achievement by Marq De Villiers Is now on my list. Thanks for sharing!

502694 A lot of long lost family photo albums were in there too!

Light in August by Faulkner

It's challenging reading but much more accessible as an audiobook. Don't try to rush thru it, there is enough to make a person pause often, maybe sleep on a concept.

The content is brutaly plausible

Finished the James Lee Burke series, and started on - finally - Raymond Chandler. Also squeezed in a few Dennis Lehane novels last month. Borrowed 83 books so far this year from the local library. Love that Kindle.

Anything by Michael Gruber. I started with "Night of the jaguar". Mind bending thrillers.

This guy leaves other authors in the dust.
