A guy that lives down the road a couple of miles from me contacted me about making some panels to cover up an exposed chimney in his kitchen. I made some nice panels with a small built-in bookcase & helped him install it. Being a neighbor I only charged him for the materials and threw in the labor.
He said that there was some woodworking stuff in the garage that had been there since he bought the place & wondered if I'd be interested in any of it. He's restoring a Mustang & needed the room. There was an older delta band saw, a bench mount drill press, and this. I offered him money for it but he wouldn't take it. He said if I could move it, it was mine. So here it is in it's new home. A Woodmaster 2675 drum sander. I had been looking for a drumsander for a while but just couldn't swing the money for one yet. Not sure what year it is but the serial number is 1769. It's in excellent condition as the pics show.

Be nice to your neighbors........

He called me last night & said I forgot the box of sand paper for it.

I tore up his check for the panel materials, and he has some more favors coming.

Wow Mark. Great looking sander. It almost looks like it maybe had one or two pieces of wood through it. Was wondering what had happened to you, as it seems like it's been a long time since your last post.

It sure sounds like you two are a couple of stand-up guys.

Also,tearing up his check for the materials was a classy thing to do.

:D :D :D Mark, You lucky dog! Your friend will finish the Mustang and take up woodworking, and when he realizes what he has given up, you are going to hear blood curdling screams coming from his house:eek:. I just wanted to warn you, so you wouldn't call the police. WOW, I still can't believe how lucky you are. Enjoy;), Regards, Bill

I prefer the phrase;
"You reap what you sow"
regardless of how its said, good deeds always get rewarded, at some point and time.

Sometimes good things happen to good people. Other times it is just plain luck. Nice addition!!!

Hey Karl, I've been busy in the shop. I'm usually out there by 6:30 and wander back to the house around 5pm or so, eat & go to bed. New Knapp Designs is booked up through June. The walleyes have been safe this winter. I am taking the last week of May off to slay a few.

Mark,
I have a 26" Woodmaster sander and I love it. Ir gets used a lot. If you don't have the manual you might give them a call. Mine came with roller extensions on both the front and back. You will need to hook it up with dust collection. Great score. I'm happy for you. http://www.woodmastertools.com/
