I just replaced the motor in my jointer-planer and am reassembling it. The heavier belt to the cutters fits fine but the lighter belt to the rollers is way too long. I see no way to adjust this. I wish I would have taken a photo of the belts but too late. The only thing I can think of is to replace it with a link belt but this should not be necessary. I am sure I'm missing something but don't know what it might be. Any suggestions? See photo.
