Back to oncall duty again and I'm dreaming of the day that I don't have to do computer IT work any longer. :)
Made a few small cutting boards for The LOML to give her college profs before she graduates from college in 2 weeks. Really proud of her but I'm also glad to see the money bleed for college come to a stop. :)

The cutting board looks very nice, and I am sure it will be appreciated. I didn't accomplish a lot last week, but I did find a marble while digging the last new bed that will fit in the garden. I can't tell if it is one of my marbles I putatively lost, but if it is and I find the others maybe I'll be able to function more effectively again.

Attended a two day welding class at the Marc Adams school in Indiana. What an amazing place that is; I'll definitely be looking at their WW class offerings. In the class we got to do a lot of MIG welding, some TIG, got to use the plasma cutters, did some brazing, and did a little oxy/acet. welding too. Just what I was looking for, an intro and info on how to judge the quality of a weld and how to adjust the welder based on weld results, with practice and feedback from the knowledgeable instructor.

Paul, I'm very jealous about that course you took...I'm considering doing something similar at some point as I'd like to learn a bit of welding so I can incorporate it and metal a little more in some kinds of projects.

This past week was another "eclectic" timer period. Oliver, the overgrown now ten month old puppy is a time suck, but it's worthwhile. Professor Dr. SWMBO struggles a little with the training because of her health issue, but is gradually getting things. Aside from that, I brought my "part time mason" career to a fitting end by finally pouring a small pad for the grill to live on just off the back patio, got all the debris and tools cleaned up from the concrete projects, did an "amature" detailing of our MY20 Forester Limited as it's going to get sold/traded as part of going to one vehicle, put a new seatbelt on the Kubota, got rid of a bunch of donations to the ReStore and a few other little things. This week is seeming to remain somewhat dog oriented as the fencing company will be getting Oliver's yard up, but I'm also helping our younger daughter's SO get a hitch receiver and wiring on her MY16 Outback Limited so it's ready to tow the teardrop trailer they bought for their coming adventures. Maybe I'll get some shop time later in the week or on the weekend...lots of potential projects to get moving on and I also need to start dealing with the lumber I have stacked and stickered out back.
