Is my Festool TS 55 EQ circular saw defective?

Just tried by new Festool saw last night. It worked great BUT the motor makes a sort of a grinding sound. The sound goes away when the blade is spinning down without power so I believe that the motor itself is making the noise. Is that normal?

Common question, including with its predicessor. No worries...it's the speed control circuitry at work.

Mine does the same. I thought the same thing at first, but it cut fine.
