Facebook wood machine selling groups

I recently got several emails from facebook that I should join wood working groups to buy and sell machines and products. I have to give my info and join to see each site. Are these a scam or maybe worth joining? There is one for California members so big machine pickups might be a reasonable distance.

There are lots of local sales groups of various kinds. I'm subscribed to a bunch of them, although nothing specifically for woodworking. But I've never, ever received an email asking me to join groups on Facebook. Rather than click on things in emails which can come with great risk...just search for the groups in Facebook.
