I would like to order some but I can't think of the name. It is an age thing. Where is the best place to order from?

They are called Adjustable Handles. Here is a good source. (https://www.mcmaster.com/products/adjustable-handles/?SrchEntryWebPart_InpBox=Adjusting+handles)

Try searching using "kipp adjustable handle".

Here (https://www.grainger.com/product/3DFC7?gucid=N:N:PS:Paid:GGL:CSM-2295:4P7A1P:20501231&gclid=CjwKCAjwzuqgBhAcEiwAdj5dRgQv7zDmfAmwb3ohOYQG hvBYcDMJFReHJ8KCkwUNEGnoALuIb-_zNBoCgHYQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) is a link to get you started.

Just be careful what you order. Some have plastic handles and some are cast zinc alloy. The really good ones have steel handles that will hold up much better.

I tried a lot of different names but I got nowhere. I tried adjustable what ever but never though of handle. I am not a good searcher, so thank you for your responses. I found what I needed thanks to you.

I love McMaster-Carr, Lee. I'm thrifty (?cheap) but when I want to be sure about an item such as carbide burnishers they are my go-to.

Used them a lot for work related items over the years. An amazing amount of almost anything you can imagine there and rarely was it not a next day delivery. Actually I can't think of an instance it wasn't next day. They weren't the cheaper option but you knew they weren't selling some cheap imitation of the real thing either.

Just the opposite here. About 17 stoplights within a minute of my house.

Yeah but you have that church....
Is the BBQ place still open that wasn't far as I recall from your shop?

Do you mean the Little Brown Church. It is the church that the song was written about, The little Brown Church in the Vale. It was built in about 1858. It is still a church with a congregation and services are at 10:30 AM. It is a famous church, Known for weddings and of course the song. We eloped and were married there 53 years ago. I am in Nashua Ia.

The BBQ is gone and it is now a bar but I do not think it has food.

I do not know about being Lucky, it is a 25 minute drive just to get a 2X4. The nearest big box is around 50 miles and the nearest woodworking store is Woodsmith and it is 2 3/4 hours away.

Yes "The Little Brown Church in the Vale". I had to go to the Tube and listen to it again when I mentioned it earlier. There is a Woodcraft in Iowa City now but that's probably 2 hours plus to for you. It's about that for me.

Amazon also sells them ... under various names.

Update: I am glad you posted this question and picture! I have a broken one on my bench sander, and now that I know what they are called and that they are available, I just purchased a replacement from Amazon in the exact size I needed.
