Is this handle mounted backwards or am I missing something?

Maybe it’s like golf clubs. More offset for beginners

Maybe it's really a hammer with a sharp bit on the other side.

You just gotta love these over seas product ads and descriptions for things they obviously know nothing about.

How does it look from the top of the handle?

Axe and hatchet handle designs vary widely.

It's difficult to tell from the provided photos. I think it's basically oval.
I just thought the descriptions and the backward mounted handle made it worth a look.

WOOD SPLITTING AXE HANDLE--- This is a wooden axe handle worthy of widespread use, due to its high practicability and hardness.
WOOD CUTTING AXE HANDLE--- Fine polishing and workmanship make it safe and comfortable while using.
SURVIVAL AXE HANDLES--- No burrs, will not hurt your hands, you can be confident to use it.
CAMPING AXE HANDLE--- Easy to maintain and no need to maintain frequently, save money and time.

Intriguing as it sounds, I bought a different one.
