Are there loaf pans for home cooking that produce slices of bread that are the same size as slices of commercial white bread?

The loaf pans I find in stores make loaves that produce smaller slices. The ideal pan (for me) would be something that produced a loaf about 1/4 th as long as a loaf of commercial white bread, but with the same cross section.

What dimensions are you looking for? Commercial white bread comes in a myriad of sizes and shapes, at least in our part of the country.

Longer than you want, but bread freezes well if you double wrap it in plastic wrap.

Thank you! Maybe I can fabricate some sort of insert to make the loaf shorter.

I've tried freezing commercial bread before and it is ok when toasted. However, it never tastes like fresh bread.

Pullman pans do come in different lengths so you might give Amazon a look. I don’t believe they come in as short as You’re looking for though. Very knowledgeable info on the YouTube forum Bread Baking and http://www.thefreshloaf.com/forum.

Just bend one up. Pop rivets not solder. Do not use galvanized or terne coated metal. Tin plate is fine
