Ok-- I know this should not work but I am going to try anyway. It ain't like it would be the first thing I have tried that did not work. This hunk is Carlo Walnut crotch. Oh someone had asked about drawing a circle---my homemade compass. This blank has Pith running in the center of the blank at 4 different spots

Gary,

If you do get it to work, it will be a nice one.... that much is for sure.

Wow Gary, I don't know if I would have the guts to risk a nice piece of Walnut like that. Good luck. I know if it works it will be nice.

It'll work, it just might not work the way you think it's gonna work. Sometimes it's the surprises that turn out the best.

So far-----It's going to almost be like four panels of pith.
Each panel will cover 25% of the outside surface.
I did get it round and started the hollowing process, but just ran out of steam for the day.

Personally, I think that pith running up the sides is going to be spectacular Gary. 24" in diameter???!!!!!! Sheesh! You kill me. Best of luck to you.:)

A bottle of CA glue will help the situation, good luck.

Your gonna need a big micro wave to dry that thing in. Do it proud.

Glenn----got the 16 oz bottle out and ready----I keep soaking the pith.
Jim ----I hope to get her in the Alkey bath later today.
I will get a pic of her before the bath
