Oh someone had asked about drawing a circle---my homemade compass. This blank has Pith running in the center of the blank at 4 different spots

It'll work, it just might not work the way you think it's gonna work. Sometimes it's the surprises that turn out the best.

So far-----It's going to almost be like four panels of pith.
Each panel will cover 25% of the outside surface.
I did get it round and started the hollowing process, but just ran out of steam for the day.
