Coming home from upstate NY yesterday with a used lathe in tow I made it to 30 miles from home when I got t-boned by a semi at a dangerous intersection. My fault, I pulled out from a stoplight without seeing him coming, but he must have seen me and braked or I would be in a warmer climate rather than dealing with a fractured scapula. Be careful out there!

Glad you are all right Kevin! My daughter got hit in the front/side a few weeks ago. She is 8 months pregnant and luckily is OK. We all need to be careful out there!

How did the lathe make out?

Get well soon, so you can unload that lathe.

I though at first we were going to talk about razors - so - while I'm glad you made it ok, I'll just mention I'm a fan of double edge blades & a good old 'clam shell".
They get you such a much closer shave than the toss aways do.

With the help of a friend I was able to retrieve it from the towing yard and get it in the shop. A Oneway 2436 and it appears unscathed. Honestly, I would have been happy to write it off in return for walking above ground. The car doesn't look so hot though.496181

You are, indeed, lucky to have survived it with just a broken scapula! Glad to hear the lathe survived too.

I'm glad you're ok other than the break, Kevin, and hope you heal up well.

Glad you are mostly okay. Certainly could have been much worse.Hope you heal quickly so you can get that lathe going.

Wow! Happy to hear that you weren't critically injured! Heal quickly and share the story of how you got your lathe often. We all need the reminder about how quickly things can change when driving!

Agreed, I have a modern Merkur, and my dad’s one he carried overseas in WWII……Nice razors…..Regards, Rod
