Why does the woodpecker Parallel guide come with 6 connectors

Just got my new woodpecker parallel guide system, it comes with 8 tracks and 6 connectors. Why 6? It's 2 for each connection, so I have exactly half as many as I need. What am I missing?

Looks like they are using one per joint on the back of the track, meaning 3 per side or 6 total.

Thanks, my eyes glazed over that.

Overall happy with it, but wish they had presets. It's pretty hard to make sure the two clamps are equal distance.

I think I'm going to make some preset cut boards.
