Powermatic 66 Table saw

Hi, I have a question about a Powermatic 66 table saw that is in an auction. They are unable to read the motor plate so they don't know if it's single phase or three phase. They did send a picture of the plug though. I think that it's 3 phase given the plug. Jim

that is a NEMA L16-20 plug for 480 volt 3-phase AC systems

I believe the powermatic is a normal C-face motor so it is easy to find something that will fit. A VFD is probably cheaper then a new motor and can give reduced speed for disk sanding on the saw..

I was mostly curious. I don't really need a new saw although I did bid on a 66 that was 5hp and single phase that was only an hour away from me. I missed it by $5. This one is about 5 hours away. Jim
