Anyone still have a copy of the old tutorial for rebuilding the batteries for the Air Shield Pro? I seem to have lost it and need to replace my batteries again - it's been several years of use since the last time I rebuilt them and a search of the forum turns up old threads, but no actual files for the tutorial...thought I'd see if anyone has a copy before I dig into them again.
I'd like to have them on hand for the 'next time' several years down the road again...

I live in the uk but I believe you can purchase battery pack from mouser electronics (https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=AJOqlzWQiNwfQJIq6Q38FWxGtCfpU4brvA:16 74811844477&q=mouser+electronics&spell=1&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiv1LiouOf8AhUSjVwKHaPjChMQkeECKAB6BAgFE AE) which may be the simpler route
Below is a list of the reference sources I found when replacing my battery

Other
In the Uk I found a source of material to replace the chin gaurd and head band Suggest when you identify a source in the USA compare the thickness of the material I used a thinner material which I found ideal

I took my orginal Trend filters to a company who made industrial filters and they gave me free of charge replacement filter material of a similar composition
Looking to the future I am going to explore purchasing an oversized replacement face shield cover then use to origanl face shield as a template and cut to size

Hope this helps regards
Brian

As I remember it is rather straight forward. The unit snaps together so you need to unclip the "legs" from the holes you just have to be careful you don't bend the feet that stick through the holes. Get the battery WITH tabs. bend the tabs and solder them together. There is a resistor in series with one of the lines to keep the battery from heating up during recharging I disconnected mine. Make certain you match the positive an negative tabs so that the unit is in series. That is about all that I can remember. Check to be certain they are in series or is it parallel that I don't remember but you will see the correct polarity when you open the case. Don't have the tutorial on hand but it was very simple particularly if you have done it before. Darryl

Is this for the Trend Airshield Pro or the original Trend Airshield?

I believe this is for the older model, not the Pro.
For what its worth, I’ve done the rebuild (actually, the second rebuild of the original batteries) and I’m back in business. I’ll do the other battery tomorrow. THanks for the replies.
