Weight of Eastern Hemlock Log

Any guess as to how much this Eastern Hemlock log might weigh before cutting?

36 inches in diameter and 12 Feet long. The Hydraulic log loader arms on the Woodmizer were making a loud squealing sound as it was lifting up the log. Never heard that sound before

Maybe #4200-4300 if its green wood...

V=(Pr)(r)(r)(h) = 84.78 cubic feet

Weight = Volume (Cu ft) x density (#/cu ft) = #4239 (assuming wet wood with no bark for 18" radius of log)

My log calculator also says 4200 lbs. No wonder your hydraulics were straining.
